October 25, the PPST Department held a scientific and methodological seminar to discuss the problems and prospects of mentoring, as well as the state of mental health of applicants.

Among the speakers were:
- Liudmyla Oleksiivna Kolisnyk, PhD in Psychology, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Psychology and Psychotherapy, who reported the results of research by the psychological service of Sumy State University on the state of mental health of higher education students and factors influencing the effectiveness of their learning.
- Nataliia Viktorivna Koliada, PhD in Psychology, Senior Lecturer at the Department of PPCT, who presented a promising mentoring toolkit, its directions and features, as well as an algorithm for mentor actions in identifying problems and needs of applicants in various social and psychological cases.
 
The speakers' speeches were accompanied by a discussion of: practical cases arising in the educational process related to a certain socio-psychological state of applicants; formation of areas of work and communication with applicants based on an individual approach, taking into account objective and subjective factors influencing the effectiveness of their learning, prospects for creating and implementing mentoring algorithms; the importance of supplementing psychological practices to restore mental health with sports exercises and activities.
