October 15, students of various specialties and educational programs of Sumy State University met with Dmytro Lantushenko, a political and public figure.

October 11, the lecturers of the PPST Department  successfully completed a three-week intensive advanced training course on “Social Support for Servicemen, War Veterans and Their Families” in the amount of 30 academic hours.

October 10, on the Day of Mental Health, the Psychological Service of Sumy State University took part in the Round Table “How are you?” Under the motto: “The resilience of one is the resilience of millions” dedicated to the All-Ukrainian Mental Health Program initiated by Olena Zelenska, the Coordination Center for Mental Health of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, and the Sumy Regional Military Administration.

October 5, in the city of Sumy, within the framework of cooperation between Sumy State University and the NGO Lifelong Learning Centre, representatives of the Centre conducted a training intensive “Psychological Support during Explosions” for students of 1-4 courses of the specialty 053 Psychology.

Associate Professor of Sumy State University, member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine S. Pobozhii was awarded the Award of the Head of the Polish Union of Artists of the Gliwice-Zabrze District for his “Gliwice Triptych”, which is exhibited at the XV International Art Plein Air “My City” in the Polish city of Gliwice. This pastel work was also included in the catalog of the post-plein air exhibition.

In early October, representatives of Sumy State University's psychological service, Liudmyla Kolisnyk and Paraskoviia Sakhno, as well as curators of academic groups, took part in a webinar for curators of first-year groups on “Optimizing the process of adaptation of freshmen to higher education”, which was initiated by the Association of Psychologists of Higher Education of Ukraine*.

Last year, the History of Ukraine was defined as a compulsory subject for the national multi-subject test. Sumy State University opened preparatory courses in this subject.

Senior Lecturer of the Department of Psychology, Political Science and Socio-Cultural Technologies Nataliia Teslyk was selected for the English for Scientists course on the Science in Danger platform.

Representatives of the Department of Social Work took part in the round table “Universities of the third age - new prospects for personal self-improvement in the current conditions”.

 September 28-29, Associate Professor of the Department of Psychology, Political Science and Socio-Cultural Technologies Serhii Korol took part in the Cluster Training for Teachers of the course “Democracy: From Theory to Practice”, which took place in Lviv.
