"Short-term training program for social workers and psychologists in working with women who have experienced sexual violence" is implemented by NPO "Opportunity for Your Development" - a grantee of the Ukrainian Women's Fund in cooperation with the Department of Psychology, Political Science and Socio-Cultural Technologies of Sumy State University and the Department of Social Protection for the Population of Sumy Regional State Administration within the framework of the project "Let's Stand Together".

Improving the system of support for victims of conflict-related sexual violence, which UWF implements in partnership with the NGO "La Strada - Ukraine" and the Association of Women Lawyers of Ukraine "JurFem" with the support of the Office of the Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration and the Office of the Government Commissioner for Gender Policy and with funding from the European Union.

The program is a two-day training seminar (15 hours) that integrates theoretical blocks of information with their practical application. Completion of the program will allow professionals to provide a comprehensive approach to assisting women who have experienced sexual violence, to conduct stabilization activities with them and to restore their mental well-being.  

After completing the training, the participants will improve their theoretical knowledge and practice practical techniques and methods of work. Based on the results of the training, participants receive certificates of advanced training (certificates of advanced training will be issued through the advanced training courses of the Regional State Administration), as well as a ready-made methodological manual for field work and implementation of the acquired knowledge.

The Program also plans to develop and test an e-learning course (video lessons, theoretical and practical blocks, test tasks) on the Examenarium platform for participants who were unable to join the trainings.
