April 9, a regular lesson was held for the clients of the Felicitas NGO's Assistance Center, prepared by first-year students majoring in social work. We were painting again.

Step by step, gaining new experience. For the students of the program "Social Work" it is not just a practice of conducting classes, but also learning to communicate with "difficult" clients, learning empathy on the example of the target group of people with intellectual disabilities. It is interesting to observe how each of the Felicitas students has their own character and behavioral pattern. It is interesting to listen to the advice of the center's specialists and learn from them.
The students also talked to parents raising children with intellectual disabilities. This made it possible to better understand the characteristics of such families and find sources of their resilience.
The interaction between Sumy State University and the Felicitas Center for Assistance is part of the EU4Youth project "EU4Youth - Youth Employment in Times of Crisis: Personal Assistants Program to Support People with Autism, Intellectual Disabilities and Psychosocial Disabilities in Ukraine".
