October 3, the ceremonial opening of the academic year took place at the university of the third age, the activities of which are provided by the CO "Sumy City Territorial Center of Social Services (Provision of Social Services) "Bereginia".

Associate professor of the PPST Department Olena Kupenko took part in the celebrations. She congratulated the teaching staff and students of the university. She noted the high importance of such a service in the Sumy territorial community, the positive dynamics of the institution's development: "It is pleasant to observe how the number of university students and the demand for education among people 60+ is growing. The efforts of the specialists and management of Bereginia CU should be noted so that even more people in different parts of the community could receive educational services. The prospect of even greater outreach to the community is for the current students of the third-age university to conduct their own educational activities in their centers, as well as in their neighboring communities with less mobile population groups.

The cooperation of the PPST department with Bereginia CU has been going on for several years and includes both research and teaching components for mutual benefit. A number of joint events of students of the PPST department and university students of the third age were held. We hope that this cooperation will be continued in the current academic year.
