lecturerss of the PPST Department - Professor Olha Boiko and Associate Professor Tetiana Povalii and PhD student Olena Zhylenko - became participants in the winning project "Digital Archiving of Monuments as Objects of Public Memorialization for the Preservation of the Cultural Heritage of Ukraine" submitted to the competition "Science for the Reconstruction of Ukraine in the War and Postwar Periods" to the National Research Foundation of Ukraine.

The project consists in systematic digitalization, archiving, and applied scientific research of the state of preservation and provision of historiographical information on monuments that have suffered and may suffer as a result of hostilities and/or occupation in the government-controlled territory of Ukraine.
The main objectives of the project were:
1.    Developing a list of monuments and an algorithm for their digital archiving using certain tools (collecting available public information on monuments, analyzing and forming a card index database).
2.    Analyze the social and gender components of the monuments presented.
3.    Analyzing the national and patriotic components of the monuments presented.
4.    Creating a bilingual website with information on the regions of Ukraine that are under state control at the time of the study.
5.    Publication of the research results for access to the database by Ukrainian and international institutions in order to preserve and disseminate public memorialization.
