November 13-21, second-year students of the Social Work program Kateryna Marchuk and Kateryna Sviatets took part in a training on strengthening the participation of young people through engagement in non-violent debate in Turin, Italy.

During the training, the girls learned how to listen to the interlocutor and express their thoughts clearly, and also tried themselves as debate facilitators. Not only did they learn a lot about the topic and improve their social work competencies, but they also gained experience in communicating in an international team, thus improving their English language skills.
The training was part of a project implemented by the PO Center for Euroinitiatives in cooperation with the Sereno Regis Training Center (Italy) and the Autonomous University of Barcelona (Spain).
At the next stage, the participants will organize and conduct a two-day debate and act as facilitators. In this way, the knowledge and experience of non-violent debate should be transferred to young people in Sumy region.
