January 19, the Head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration Volodymyr Artyukh met with the Board of the Public Council at the Sumy Regional Military Administration, headed by Oleh Tuliakov, Chairman of the Council, Associate Professor of the Department of PPST at Sumy State University.

The conversation focused on topical issues of socio-economic development of communities, defense aspects, the situation on the border, developments in the forestry and woodworking industry, and social issues.

Sumy Regional Military Administration was represented by Ihor Kalchenko, Chief of Staff, and Serhiy Nad'yarnyi, Director of the Department of Information and Public Relations. Hryhorii Demchenko, Volodymyr Mykhailovskyi, Viktor Pimonenko, and Serhii Khomutinnik represented the Board of the Public Council.

Particular attention was paid to discussing the possibilities of public participation in establishing cooperation between the academic community of Sumy State University and local communities in terms of developing and implementing a strategy for socio-economic development, addressing defense issues and fighting corruption.

Traditionally, important opinions and suggestions of active citizens on current issues were conveyed to the first head of Sumy region.
