January 18-19, applicants for the program "Social Work" held a two-day workshop on non-violent debate at the Romantika Youth Center for young people aged 15-19 in Sumy.

Applicants shared the knowledge they gained during the academic mobility program in Italy, with the support of the NGO "Center for Euroinitiatives" in cooperation with the Sereno Regis Training Center (Italy) and the Autonomous University of Barcelona (Spain). The participants were given lectures on active listening techniques, rules for creating a topic for debate, mini-debates in the group, showing different techniques by example, various exercises to improve communication in the group.

The participants also had the opportunity to practice being facilitators. The applicants demonstrated their professional skills as moderators, actively monitored the process and, if necessary, intervened in the process.

Having gained new knowledge and skills, the workshop participants, with the participation of students of the program "Social Work", will hold their own debates in their educational institutions.

Thus, the knowledge and experience gained during the participation in the academic mobility program in Italy are replicated and reflected in the first professional steps of the applicants.

Based on the materials of the applicants of the program "Social Work" of the group SR21 - Kateryna Marchuk and Kateryna Sviatets.
