Oleh Tuliakov, an associate professor of the Department of Vocational Education and Training, won the gold medal at the Ukrainian Powerlifting Championships, which are currently taking place in Kolomyia (Ivano-Frankivsk region). Last year, he was third at a similar championship in Lviv.

For seven years in a row, the athlete has been the champion of Sumy region in both the triathlon and other types of powerlifting competitions.

The first place was won in the classic triathlon, in which the results are determined by the sum of three exercises: squat, bench press and deadlift. The total result is 402.5 kg, which is a personal best.

Oleg Tuliakov is going to compete in the Ukrainian Horizontal Bench Press Championship on March 28 and the Sumy Oblast Powerlifting Championship (triathlon) at the end of March.

The victory of the associate professor of Sumy State University brought Sumy region the third place in the team competition, which was marked by a separate diploma of the Powerlifting Federation of Ukraine.
