On March 5, practical classes on social work technologies for third-year students majoring in Social Work were held at the practice site of the NGO Felicitas.
The classes were conducted by a teacher-defectologist Natalia Solomko. The students took part in a creative workshop for Felicitas clients, practicing as a personal assistant to a person with a disability. They deepened their knowledge and understanding of working with the target group of people with intellectual disabilities.
The second lesson was devoted to learning how to work with documents. Under the guidance of N.M. Solomko, the students worked on the "Skills Assessment Scale for the Main Categories of the Recipient of Social Services for Social Rehabilitation of Adults with Intellectual Disabilities", "Card for Determining the Individual Needs of the Recipient of Social Services for Social Rehabilitation of Adults with Intellectual Disabilities", "Questionnaire for Determining the Rating of Social Needs of the Recipient of Social Services for Social Rehabilitation". The students' homework is to conduct interviews and fill out the documents themselves.
The NGO Felicitas is a special area for special people, where specialists work to ensure the quality of life of people with disabilities and their families. We are grateful for the opportunity to train students on the basis of this organization.
