On March 8-10, students Andriy Kidymenko and Alyona Yaremenko (SRMI) visited Lviv to take part in the training. As graduates of the course "Democracy: Values, Principles, Mechanisms" (taught by Associate Professor V. Opanasiuk), they were selected through a competitive selection process and became participants in the training of future coordinators of Democratic Clubs.

In total, 13 students from 7 higher education institutions of Ukraine attended the training. The coordinators learned how to moderate and organize Democratic Clubs of various formats, and will soon launch Democratic Clubs in their cities. The network of local Democratic Clubs will develop democracy in Ukraine through the development of local communities of active and ambitious youth, as well as the dissemination of democratic values and principles.

The training "Become a Founder of a Democracy Club in Your City" was conducted by Yoda with the support of the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES), the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and British aid from the UK government.
