The cultural face of Sumy State University is the Akademichna Art Gallery, which has assembled an art collection. Students and teachers have been getting acquainted with its works at exhibitions at the university. Now they have found a place on the pages of the album "Art Collection of Sumy State University".

In his welcoming remarks to the album, Rector V. D. Karpusha emphasizes the importance of humanitarian education of students through the art collection of our university. The introductory article describes the stages of the collection's creation and the history of some of the works.  The art collection includes 100 works of painting, graphics and decorative art. Their authors are artists from Ukraine, Poland, Switzerland, and Croatia. Most of the works are by artists from Sumy region, whose works fit into the European artistic context. Factual information about the artists is presented in the biographical references, and information about the works is in the catalog. The author of the introductory article, compiler of the biographical materials and the catalog is Serhii Pobozhii, Associate Professor of the Department of Psychology, Political Science and Socio-Cultural Technologies. Translations into English were made by Maryna Chernyk, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Germanic Philology. The layout, fonts, and cover were created by Dmytro Rastvortsev. Serhiy Malyuk did a great job of photographing the works for the album. The publication was prepared for publication by Sumy State University Publishing House.
