Mykhailo Otych, a student of the Social Work program at Sumy State University, took part in a meeting of the public council at the Sumy Regional Military Administration as a social policy consultant.
The meeting was held with the participation of Volodymyr Artyukh, the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, and the first leaders of the region. The event focused on current defense and security issues.
In the second part of the meeting, the results of Mykhailo's qualification work aimed at engaging the elderly in active life were presented to the public council.
The information was recognized by the public council as contributing to the fulfillment of the strategic objectives of preserving and mobilizing the human potential of Sumy region.
In order to organize systematic work on social issues and, in particular, to implement the results of Mykhailo Otych's work and other scientific achievements, the Public Council voted to establish a commission on social issues within its structure.

November 11, an online master class on playback theater was held by Roman Kandybur, Chairman of the Board of the Ukrainian School of Playback Theater and a current military psychologist.
The media research and educational activities launched in 2018 by Associate Professor of Sumy State University Oleh Tuliakov proved to be extremely necessary during the periods of pandemic and military restrictions. Its results have once again attracted the attention of the scientific community: recently, Oleh Tuliakov spoke at the All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference “Modern Realities and Prospects for Social Education of the Individual in Various Social Institutions.”
Veronika Prykhozhai, a student of the Management of Socio-Cultural Activities program, joined the first basic workshop within the framework of the Young Diversity Ambassadors program, which was recently held in Babyn village, Ivano-Frankivsk region.
Within the framework of cooperation between Sumy State University and the Separate Structural Subdivision “Romny Professional College of Vadym Hetman Kyiv National Economic University”, second-year students of the Psychology educational program, Oleksandra Ashikhmin and Oleksandr Pohrebnyak, conducted an interactive lecture for college students majoring in Social Work.
